Arturia: DARGZ & AudioFuse 16Rig
As part of music hardware & software company Arturia’s “Artist Stories: video series, we were commissioned to produce a short documentary about London-based jazz and hip-hop producer DARGZ. The film revolves around the live recording of DARGZ’s song “Lou’s Tune” using Arturia’s latest audio interface, the AudioFuse 16Rig. The film explores DARGZ’s musical journey, his songwriting and production workflow, and highlights his use of the AudioFuse interface in a live production environment. DARGZ was joined in the studio by Poppy Daniels on trumpet, Charlie Stacey on piano, and James Chelliah on vocals.
We shot the film at Hoxa HQ studios in London, using a handheld documentary style for the live performance, complemented by a 2-camera sit-down interview. The project was shot in a short day with a minimal crew and was graded with a vintage film look. The finished project included the main profile film and the live performance film.
You can read more about the project on Arturia’s website or visit DARGZ’s website to hear his unique blend of jazz and hip-hop.
